Kevin McBride 1960-2008
This memorial website was created in the memory of Kevin McBride - father, husband, and good friend to a great many of those he graced with his presence. He dedicated his life to helping others tackle technical problems, and to trying to be the best father he could to his children, Connor and Briana. He leaves behind also his wife Malinda, whom he wed in April of 2006, and of whom he always spoke most highly.
I personally had known Kevin for many years, and counted him among my closest of colleagues and will always consider him a good friend, wherever he may be. Always willing to listen and to help, always in good spirits no matter what tribulations came his way.
He was a music lover, a food lover, and always enjoyed the hobbies he shared with his children. He coached his daughter's sports teams, and helped his son build and race slot cars when they could spend time together.
I count myself as fortunate for having met him, tragically unfortunate for never having had the opportunity to taste his award winning Dante's Infernal Habanero Chili, and ever grateful for the wonderful opportunity he presented me at an all too dark point in my own travels.
Please, by all means, feel free to share your own stories and memories of our good friend Kevin. Shared pain is lessened; shared joy, increased.

He especiall...
